This Privacy Policy explains PSX Folio's offline-first data model, including what is stored locally on your device and what is not collected by us.
PSX Folio does not operate a user account system or cloud database for portfolio records. Your portfolio data stays on your device.
1. Who We Are
PSX Folio ("we", "our", "us") provides a mobile app for tracking Pakistan Stock Exchange portfolio activity, including trades, dividends, deposits, holdings, watchlists, and related analytics.
2. Scope
This policy applies to the PSX Folio Android application and related static web pages (including this Privacy Policy page). It does not apply to third-party websites or data sources that the App may reference.
3. Data Processed Locally (Not Collected by Us)
PSX Folio does not collect or store your personal portfolio records on our servers. The following data is handled locally on your device for app functionality:

3.1 Data You Enter
Information you add in forms (for example trade price, units, symbol, tax values) is processed locally to calculate and display your portfolio performance.
3.2 Local Device Storage
App records and preferences are primarily stored locally on your device so the app can work offline.
3.3 No Account / No Cloud Profile
PSX Folio does not require account registration and does not create a cloud profile for your portfolio data.
3.4 Market Data from Public Sources
The app fetches publicly available PSX-related data (such as symbols, timeseries, and notices) to update market views and analytics directly on your device.
4. How Local Data Is Used
- Display holdings, portfolio worth, P/L, and analytics
- Support transaction management (add/edit/delete)
- Enable features like watchlist, market views, and in-app notifications
- Remember user settings and preferences
- Maintain app reliability and data consistency
5. Data Sharing
We do not collect your personal portfolio records on our servers. Because we do not collect that data, we do not sell it, share it, or use it for third-party advertising.
6. Third-Party Services and Links
The app may contact public PSX-related endpoints only to fetch market data and announcement information required by app features, and may open external links (for example announcement PDFs). Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
As with any internet request, those third-party services may receive technical request information (such as IP address and user-agent) from your device. We do not attach your private portfolio records to these requests.
7. Data Retention
Locally stored records remain available until you edit or delete them, clear app storage, reset portfolio data within the app, or uninstall the app.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable technical safeguards in the app design. However, no method of digital storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. User Choices and Rights
- You can edit or delete transactions and other records in-app.
- You can reset portfolio records using in-app controls.
- You can uninstall the app to remove local app data from your device.
10. Children’s Privacy
PSX Folio is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date on this page.
